Ride the Octagon
Who will triumph in the Octagon?! This challenging bike event hosted by Humboldt, KS pits 100 miles of Kansas gravel punctuated by eight sections of gnar against your legs, bike and bike handling skills. Not quite up for entering the Octagon? Try the 50-mile Square or 25-mile Line rides for a little bit less ridiculousness but just as much small town fun.

Welcome to The Octagon
The Octagon is a gravel bike race in Humboldt, KS. Prizes will be awarded for overall times, and enduro-style, for best times in individual segments. To be eligible for enduro scoring, participants must use Strava to track their ride.
Why “Octagon?” Well, two reasons. One, we like the idea of fighting off one challenger after another in a dirt arena, armed only with two wheels and determination! Two, there was famously an octagonally-designed community built in the area in 1856, and while we can’t condone hydropathy, phrenology, or settling in malarial swamps with no plan and no food, we do like the idea of setting off into the wilderness of southeast Kansas with some kooky ideas!
